Privacy Policy
A plain-language explanation of how this website handles personal information. In short: we collect very little, and only when you choose to contact us.

1. Who we are
This website (the “Site”) is operated by Spoke Podcast Network Inc. (“Spoke”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information is and is not handled when you use the Site, and is written with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in mind.

2. Summary
- The Site has no user accounts, sign-up forms, newsletter, comments, payment pages or contact form.
- Spoke does not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies on the Site.
- The Site loads podcast artwork and photographs from third-party servers, which receive standard technical information when your browser requests those images.
- If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to send.
3. Information the Site does not collect
The Site is a set of static pages. It does not ask you to enter personal information, and it does not set cookies or use analytics or advertising tools. Search and filtering on the All podcasts page run entirely in your browser; your search terms are not sent to Spoke.
4. Third-party images and hosting
To show authentic podcast artwork and editorial photographs, pages request images from external servers, including Unsplash and the websites or content-delivery services used by the podcasts listed. When your browser requests an image, that server receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page that requested it, as is normal on the web. Spoke does not receive or control this information. Images are requested with a no-referrer setting where supported, so the address of the Spoke page is not passed along.
The server or service that hosts the copy of this Site you are visiting may also keep standard server logs. Those practices are governed by the hosting provider.
5. External links
Podcast buttons and other links take you to websites we do not operate, such as a show’s official website or YouTube. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave the Site.
6. When you contact us
If you email or telephone us, we receive your email address or phone number, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message. We use this information only to respond, to handle a correction, suggestion or placement enquiry, and to keep a record of our correspondence. We do not sell it and do not add you to a mailing list.
Email is handled by our email service provider, and messages may be stored on servers located outside Canada. We keep correspondence only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was sent for, or as required by law.
7. Safeguards
We limit access to correspondence to people who need it to respond and use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you from your correspondence, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
9. Children
The Site is a general-audience discovery website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
If the Site’s functionality changes in a way that affects personal information, for example if a form or analytics were added, we will update this policy before that change takes effect and revise the date above.
